A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA ENDORSING DADE HERITAGE DAYS, A
CELEBRATION OF THE ARCHITECTURAL HERITAGE
OF DADE COUNTY AND PROCLAIMING MAY 14
THROUGH 20, 1984 AS HISTORIC PRESERVATION
WEEK ON MIAMI BEACH
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach has a rich history which is evidenced in the
wide variety of its architecture;
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach believes it is in the best interest of its
citizens, neighbors, and visitors to learn more about its history and architecture;
WHEREAS, Dade Heritage Days is a County-wide cooperative effort to promote
greater awareness of local history and architecture.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that the City of Miami Beach endorses Dade
Heritage Days activities and hereby proclaims May 14 through 20, 1984 as Historic
Preservation Week on Miami Beach.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 19th day of April , 1984.
