A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, SEEKING THE
SUPPORT OF THE GREATER MIAMI CHAMBER-MIAMI
BEACH CHAMBER JOINT THINK TANK COMMITTEE AND
THE CITY'S CONGRESSMEN AND SENATORS IN
ADVANCING THE PROGRESS OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH'S PROJECT TO CONSTRUCT AN OPEN SPACE
AND RECREATIONAL AREA ON THE JULIA TUTTLE
CAUSEWAY BETWEEN THE WATERWAY AND THE EAST
CHANNEL OF BISCAYNE BAY.
WHEREAS, the plan is consistent with the objectives of
the City 's Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, the plan would contribute to the open space
and recreational resources of the City; and
WHEREAS, the project would be an added enhancement to
bring tourists to the City, as well as benefiting City
residents,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COM-
MISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA to seek the support
of the Greater Miami Chamber-Miami Beach Chamber Joint Think
Tank Committee and the City ' s Congressmen and Senators in
advancing the progress of the City of Miami Beach' s project to
construct an open space and recreational area on the Julia
Tuttle Causeway between the waterway and the east channel of
Biscayne Bay.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of April , 1984.
