A RESOLUTION CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING ON JUNE 20, 1984,
AT 5:00 P.M. TO CONSIDER THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE
PLANNING BOARD TO AMEND SECTION 22 OF ZONING
ORDINANCE NO. 1891; BY EXTENDING THE DURATION OF THE
INTERIM DEVELOPMENT CONTROL REGULATIONS FOR AN
ADDITIONAL PERIOD OF 120 DAYS COMMENCING JULY 17, 1984,
AND ENDING NOVEMBER 13, 1984.
WHEREAS, on June 4, 1984, the Planning Board continued to June 26, 1984, a
public hearing relative to the removal of the Interim Development Control Regulations and
the adoption of a new zoning ordinance regarding South Pointe, with an interim workshop to
be held on June 11, 1984; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Board, as part of its consideration of the new South
Pointe zoning has determined that additional time is required in which to effectuate the new
zoning, and has recommended to the Miami Beach City Commission that the Interim
Development Control Regulations be extended for an additional period of 120 days
(approximately 4 months) commencing July 17, 1984, and ending November 13, 1984, and has
transmitted this recommendation to the City Commission pursuant to Section 16, (Changes
and Amendments) of Zoning Ordinance No. 1891;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that a public hearing to consider the recommendation
of the Planning Board as stated aforesaid, is called to be held on June 20, 1984, in the
Commission Chambers, 1700 Convention Center Drive, Miami Beach, Florida, commencing
at 5:00 P.M. and the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to publish appropriate
Public Notice of said in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Miami Beach, at
which time and place all interested parties will be heard.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 5th day of June, 1984.
