A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF
$4,400 FROM CONTINGENCY FUNDS FOR DEMOLITION
OF BUILDINGS AT 37-38 STAR ISLAND.
WHEREAS, the Administration has determined that the sum of $4,400 is
necessary to complete the demolition of certain structures at 37-38 Star Island,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COMMISSION does
hereby authorize the appropriation of $4,400 from general contingency funds for the
demolition of buildings at 37-38 Star Island.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 20th day of June, 1984.

SUBJECT: . APPROPRIATION FROM CONTINGENCY-STAR ISLAND DEMOLITION
At the Com mission meeting of May 2, 1984, interim funding for Voyager Tram service was
approved for the period May 2 to May 16. An appropriation was provided in the amount of
$4,400 through a reduction in funding that had been set aside for the demolition of nine
structures at 37 and 38 Star Island. This reduction was based on a preliminary estimate
that the demolition could be completed for less than the bid award of $59,044.
Subsequent to this action, it has been determined that the full amount of $59,444 will in
fact be necessary to complete the Star Island demolition, and that the $4,400 should be
restored to the account set aside for this purpose.
ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDATION
The Administration recom mends that $4,400 be appropriated from Contingency Funds to
Work Order No. 2929, Demolition of Buildings at 37-38 Star Island.
