RESOLUTION NO. 84-17767
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING A
YOUTH CENTER SETTLEMENT SPECIAL REVENUE FUND
AND APPROPRIATING $125,000 FOR SAME.
WHEREAS , the City has received the sum of $125 ,000 from
litigation relating to the Youth Center , and
WHEREAS , the Administration has determined that the
proper use of these monies is to fund necessary repairs to the
Youth Center.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COMMISSION
authorizes the establishment of a Youth Center Settlement Special
Revenue Fund and appropriates $125,000 for use in funding
necessary repairs to the Youth Center or to repay the general fund
for repairs already made and to pay for professional fees involved
in said litigation.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 20th day of June, 1984 .

SUBJECT: SPECIAL REVENUE FUND - YOUTH CENTER SETTLEMENT
The receipt of funds from the Youth Center settlement in the amount of $125,000 has been
deposited in the 1972 Park Improvement Series Bond Fund account pending determination
of the appropriate use of these monies. At this time, a transfer should be made to a
special revenue fund to fund necessary repairs to the Youth Center.
ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDATION
The Administration recom mends the establishment of a Youth Center Special Revenue
Fund and a transfer of $125,000 to this fund from the 1972 Park Improvement Series Bond
Fund account to fund the repairs that are needed and to pay for the attorney's fees
involved in the litigation.
