A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH AUTHORIZING THE RECEIPT OF
FLORIDA RECREATIONAL DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANCE
PROGRAM GRANT FOR THE ISLAND VIEW PARK PROJECT
AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND THE CITY CLERK
TO EXECUTE AN ISLAND VIEW PARK FRDAP AGREEMENT
WITH THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL
RESOURCES.
WHEREAS, the City Commission on December 21, 1983,
authorized the submission of a request for a Florida Recreational
Development Assistance Program Grant for the Island View Park
Project; and
WHEREAS, the Florida Cabinet selected the Island View
Park Project as an appropriate recipient of state funds and
authorized a grant in the amount of $174,667 . 00 to the City of
Miami Beach for the above-mentioned project; and
WHEREAS, the office of the City Manager has recommended
the execution of a FRDAP Agreement by and between the City of
Miami Beach and the Florida Department of Natural Resources and
the office of the City Attorney has approved the agreement as to
form and legal sufficiency; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission finds it to be in the best
interest of the City of Miami Beach and its people to implement
the Island View Park Project,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH as follows:
1. That the City hereby accepts the Florida Recreational
Development Assistance Program Grant of $174,667 .00 for the Island
View Park Project; and
2. That the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby
authorized to execute a FRDAP Agreement by and between the City of
Miami Beach and the Department of Natural Resources.
