A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE A REVOKABLE SIX-MONTH LICENSE AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH AND TROLLEY CHEF,
INC., FOR A TEST PROGRAM FOR THE SALE OF FAST FOOD IN A
BEACHFRONT CONCESSION.
WHEREAS, the City Commission, at its meeting of June 5, 1984, authorized the
Administration to work with Mr. Raymond M. Lukban of Trolley Chef, Inc., to provide for a
test program license agreement for the sale of fast food in a concession test program to be
placed on the beach adjacent to 75th Street and Ocean Terrace in accordance with the
Beach Concession Plan that was adopted by the City Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City Administration, along with Trolley Chef, has drafted a
revokable six-month license for the test marketing program using Trolley Chef, Inc., fast
food restaurants that are akin to the famed San Francisco cable cars; and
WHEREAS, these units are free standing mobile self-contained units which will
provide a uniform concession image in their operation on Miami Beach; and
WHEREAS, Trolley Chef, Inc., has agreed to pay the City of Miami Beach 14% of
gross sales from this license agreement; and
WHEREAS, at the end of the six-month marketing test program, a full report of
operation and review will be provided to the City Commission.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
The Mayor is authorized to execute the revokable six-month license for the
test marketing program using Trolley Chef, Inc., fast food restaurants in accordance with
the attached agreement.
