A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, REQUESTING THE STATE OF
FLORIDA, DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES TO ISSUE
PERMIT FOR REMOVAL OF AN EXISTING SUBAQUEOUS 8"
HIGH PRESSURE WATER MAIN AND REPLACING IT WITH A
SUBAQUEOUS 12" HIGH PRESSURE WATER MAIN, MX-422
FROM RIVO ALTO ISLAND TO DILIDO ISLAND.
WHEREAS, an 8-inch subaqueous high pressure water main, between
Rivo Alto Island and DiLido Island has deteriorated and is in need of
replacement; and
WHEREAS, plans will be completed for replacing the line with a 12-
inch subaqueous high pressure water main and funds were provided
in the September 1, 1972 Water Improvement Bond Fund 1/326; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that prior to the removal of the
existing subaqueous water main, the City of Miami Beach must obtain an easement
from the appropriate agencies; and
WHEREAS, the easement will be located approximately 71 feet
south of the center line of the right-of-way of the Venetian Causeway between
Rivo Alto Island and DiLido Island, a sketch is attached hereto and made a part
hereof by reference;
NOW, THEREFORE, RE IT DT 1T Y RESOLVED BY THF CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the
City Commission hereby requests an easement for the removal of an
existing subaqueous 8-inch high pressure water main between Rivo
Alto Island and DiLido Island and replacement thereto with a 12-
inch subaqueous high pressure water main;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that an application for said easement be
submitted to the Department of Natural Resources.
