A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF LEASE
AMENDMENT WITH EXPOSITION CORPORATION OF
AMERICA FOR USE OF THE NORTH AND SOUTH HALLS
OF THE MIAMI BEACH CONVENTION CENTER IN 1985-
1987 .
WHEREAS, the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH entered into a lease
agreement with
EXPOSITION CORPORATION OF AMERICA
hereinafter referred to as LESSEE, said agreement having been
approved by the City Commission on
March 2, 1983 , with amendments of May 16 ,
1984 and June 5, 1984
for use of certain premises and facilities of the City of Miami
Beach, to-wit:
THE NORTH AND SOUTH HALLS OF THE
MIAMI BEACH CONVENTION CENTER
for the event known as:
MIAMI HOME SHOWS
ON: 1985 - 1987
Eachyear one move-in day and one show day is being
eliminated.
Corporation name change.
WHEREAS, said LESSEE has requested an amendment to said
agreement as set forth in Commission Memorandum No. 515-84 , a
copy of which is included in the agenda for the meeting at which
this Resolution was adopted, and
WHEREAS, all other terms and conditions of the existing
agreement shall remain the same, and
WHEREAS, an appropriate Amendment to Agreement, signed
by the said LESSEE and approved as to form and legal sufficiency
by the City Attorney, is attached hereto and made part hereof, the
provisions of which are familiar to the City Commission;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Amendment to the
existing lease agreement as set forth in said Commission
Memorandum be and the same is hereby accepted and approved, and
the Mayor and City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and
directed to execute said Amendment to Agreement in the name of and
on behalf of the City.

EVENT: MIAMI HOME SHOWS
YEARS 1985-1937
CONTRACTED:
LEASE By Commission on March 2, 1983. Amendments approved on
APPROVED: May 16, 1984 and June 5, 1984.
AMENDMENT Each year we are eliminating one move in day and one show day.
PURPOSE: Corporation name change.
RATES: The lessee hereby covenants and agrees to pay the rental
at the rates which will prevail in the years covered by
this contract as approved by the Commission subject to
the following minimum rentals:
45 per square foot net exhibit space used with a minimum
guarantee of $18,000.00 for each building for 6 days plus
$18,000.00 based on $3,000.00 each day over 6 days for each
building.
Box Office Charges - if used - wi l l be at the prevailing rate
for the years covered by this contract with a minimum of $30.00
per day which includes one person for supervisory purposes only.
