A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA REQUESTING TAX
EXEMPTION ON PROPERTY ACQUIRED THROUGH
CONDEMNATION BY THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA FOR PUBLIC USE. (Moe Horowitz property on
Meridian Avenue)
WHEREAS, on June 22, 1984 the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, acquired for the purpose of completing the City of Miami
Beach Garden Center and Conservatory the following described
property:
The North 50 feet of Lot 1, Block 7A, and that
part of 30 feet of "Bridle Path" East of the
North 50 feet of Lot 1, GOLF BOURSE SUBDIVISION
OF ALTON BEACH REALTY, as recorded in Plat Book
6, Page 26 of the Public Records of Dade
County, Florida, and less the Westerly 3 feet
thereof,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that the City of
Miami Beach, Florida, herewith formally requests exemption from
taxes as of date of acquisition of the property herein set forth,
pursuant to Florida Statutes, §196. 28.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that a certified copy of this
resolution be transmitted to the Metropolitan Dade County
Commission, its County Manager , its Tax Assessor , and its Tax
Collector .
