RESOLUTION NO. 84-17841
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, INVITING AND
ENCOURAGING THE PROMOTION OF "THE VICTORY
TOUR" TO DADE COUNTY.
WHEREAS, on August 2, 1984 , the Dade League of Cities
unanimously passed a resolution urging Metropolitan Dade County
and all municipalities within Dade County to join in an effort
to invite, promote and encourage "The Victory Tour" featuring
the Jackson family to Dade County; and
WHEREAS, the citzens of Jacksonville/Duval County,
Florida, were privileged to host performances on said tour; and
WHEREAS, the opportunity to host said tour benefits the
community at large and the tourist resort of Miami Beach, in
particular; and
WHEREAS, numerous sister municipalities in Dade County
have adopted resolutions to support local efforts to bring "The
Victory Tour" to this locale;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that this municipality goes on
record to invite, promote and encourage a visit of "The Victory.
Tour" featuring the Jackson family to Dade County.
