A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING FUNDS IN THE
AMOUNT OF $25 , 046 . 66 FROM A COMMUNITY PROJECT TO
ENHANCE THE ARTISTIC WORKS AT THE THEATRE OF THE
PERFORMING ARTS ; AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE DIREC-
TOR TO OPEN A SEPARATE INTEREST BEARING TRUST
ACCOUNT TO KEEP SAID FUNDS .
WHEREAS, a community project was developed in coopera-
tion with the City of Miami Beach to provide artistic works to
enhance the aesthetics of the Theatre of the Performing Arts when
completed ; and
WHEREAS , funds in the amount of $25 , 046 . 66 have been
collected for said project ; and
WHEREAS , representatives of that community project wish
to turn over said funds to the City of Miami Beach ;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED -BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA:
1 . That the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach
hereby accepts the donation of $25 , 046 . 66 .
2 . That said funds shall be specially earmarked in a
separate interest bearing trust account to provide artistic works
to enhance the aesthetics of the Theatre of the Performing Arts
when renovations are completed .
3 . That the City Commission hereby directs the City
Finance Director to open a separate interest bearing trust account
with the City Manager and the City Finance Director as the signato-
ries on said account on behalf of the City of Miami Beach.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 19th day of September , 1984 .
