RESOLUTION 84-17852 RESOLUTION NO. 84-17852
A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 78-15707, as amended,
EXTENDING THE TERMS OF THE EXISTING MEMBERS OF THE
LATIN AMERICAN ADVISORY BOARD TO NOVEMBER 30, 1985;
PROVIDING THAT THE TERMS SHALL RUN FROM DECEMBER 1ST TO
NOVEMBER 30TH; ON AND AFTER DECEMBER 1, 1985, NEW MEMBERS
SHALL BE APPOINTED FOR ONE YEAR TERMS.
WHEREAS, the Latin American Advisory Board wishes to change the members' terms
to run from December to November instead of the present term which runs from
May to April; and
WHEREAS, the terms of the present members will have to be extended to November 30,
1985, to provide for coverage until new appointments are made in accordance with
the new established year beginning December 1, 1985; and
WHEREAS, commencing December 1, 1985, new members will be appointed for a one-year
term running until November 30th;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA, that the terms of the existing members of the Latin American Advisory
Board are hereby extended through November 30, 1985;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the new year for the board will commence December 1,
1985, and that the terms of those persons appointed on December 1, 1985, shall
be for one year, and all terms thereafter shall be for one year, which year shall
run from December 1st to November 30th.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 19th DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 1984.
