A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF LEASE
AMENDMENT WITH GROUP PROMOTIONS FOR USE OF THE
NORTH HALL OF THE MIAMI BEACH CONVENTION
CENTER ON DECEMBER 27-31, 1984 .
WHEREAS, the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH entered into a lease
agreement with
GROUP PROMOTIONS
hereinafter referred to as LESSEE, said agreement having been
approved by the City Commission on
October 3 , 1984
for use of certain premises and facilities of the City of Miami
Beach, to-wit:
NORTH HALL OF MIAMI BEACH CONVENTION CENTER
for the event known as:
INTERNATIONAL WORLD OF WHEELS
ON: DECEMBER 27-31, 1984
Add: South Hall
WHEREAS, said LESSEE has requested an amendment to said
agreement as set forth in Commission Memorandum No. 665-84 , a
copy of which is included in the agenda for the meeting at which
this Resolution was adopted, and
WHEREAS, all other terms and conditions of the existing
agreement shall remain the same, and
WHEREAS, an appropriate Amendment to Agreement, signed
by the said LESSEE and approved as to form and legal sufficiency
by the City Attorney, is attached hereto and made part hereof, the
provisions of which are familiar to the City Commission;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Amendment to the
existing lease agreement as set forth in said Commission
Memorandum be and the same is hereby accepted and approved, and
the Mayor and City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and
directed to execute said Amendment to Agreement in the name of and
on behalf of the City.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 17th day of October , 1984 .

LEASE By Commission on October 3, 1984
APPROVED:
AMENDMENT Lessee will add the South Hall of the Miami Beach
PURPOSE: Convention Center.
RATE: There will be an additional cost of $9,000.00 minimum
guarantee thereby making the total cost for use of both
halls, $18,000.00 minimum guarantee plus 10% of gross
receipts from sale of admission tickets over $50,000.00
after taxes.
RECOMMENDATION: APPROVE
