A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA,
APPROVING i lit: RLQUES I FOR PROPOSALS FOR DEVELOPMENT
OF OLD CITY HALL AND AUTHORIZING THE ADMINISTRATION
TO SOLICIT PROPOSALS FOR DEVELOPERS TO DEVELOP,
CONSTRUCT, FINANCE, OPERATE AND LEASE THE OLD CITY
HALL IN ORDER TO PROVIDE A MIXED-USE COMMERCIAL
COMPLEX CONTAINING OFFICES, MUNICIPAL COURT
FACILITIES, THE CITY'S RADIO COMMUNICATION NICATION EQUIPMENT

CENTER, RETAIL FACILITIES, RESTAURANTS AND OTHER USES.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA;
WHEREAS, the Old City Hall is recognized as one of the City's premier historic
landmarks which is part of the City's new Police and Courts Facility; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission is desirous of developing Old City Hall into a
major mixed-use complex and attractive location for offices, municipal court facilities, the
City's radio equipment center, retail facilities, restaurants, and other uses; and
WHEREAS, the potential has been identified to attract a private developer
willing to develop, construct, finance, operate and lease the Old City Hall for said uses; and
WHEREAS, the City Administration has prepared a request for proposals to
solicit such developers,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that a Request for Proposal osal No. 157-84 to solicit

developers for Old City Hall is approved by the City Commission and the City
Administration is authorized to solicit proposals for development of Old City Hall, allowing
for any necessary adjustments, modifications, or addenda to the final request for proposals.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 17th day of October , 1984.
