A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH APPROVING IN PRINCIPLE AN APPLICATION FOR AN URBAN
DEVELOPMENT ACTION GRANT (UDAG) FROM THE U.S.
DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT FOR THE
FOLLOWING PROJECT: CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW 13-STORY OFFICE
AND COMMERCIAL COMPLEX BY COURT HOUSE SQUARE
DEVELOPERS, INC.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach is desirous of participating in the
UDAG program to enable private/public partnerships to join in the economic development of
the City; and
WHEREAS, public hearings were scheduled and held on July 10th and
July 24th to provide additional opportunity for citizen comment and input regarding this
UDAG application; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed important to the success of this project to meet
the November 30, 1984 application deadline established by the U.S. Department of Housing
and Urban Development.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City Commission
hereby approves the filing of an application for Urban Development Action Grant for the
following project: Construction of a 13-story office and commercial complex at the 1200
block (west side) of the Washington Avenue by Court House Square Developers, Inc. and
further authorizes the City Manager to execute and file said application in a timely manner,
providing for compliance with applicable regulations, and allowing for adjustments to the
final UDAG application.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 21 day of November , 1984.
