A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH URGING THE DADE COUNTY
SCHOOL BOARD TO PRIORITIZE AND EXPEDITE
FUNDING FOR THE IMMEDIATE REHABILITATION OF
THE MIAMI BEACH SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL SCIENCE
DEPARTMENT.
WHEREAS, the students of Miami Beach Senior High School
are being disadvantaged because vandalism has severely damaged the
science laboratory at their school; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach
has deep concern for the quality of education in Miami Beach; and
WHEREAS, the Dade County School Board is preparing to
expend funds for additional security and rehabilitation of the
Science Department of Miami Beach High School,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY MIAMI BEACH that the Dade County School Board be urged to
prioritize and expedite the funding required to immediately
rehabilitate the Science Department of the Miami Beach Senior High
School.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 21st day of November , 1984 .
