A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA ESTABLISHING A SPECIAL DONATIONS
ACCOUNT IN THE BASS MUSEUM SPECIAL REVENUE FUND AND
AUTHORIZING AN APPROPRIATION OF $158,700 TO SAME
BE IT RESOLVED B Y THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA: that, effective December 5, 1984, there is hereby established a Special
Donations Account in the Bass Museum Special Revenue Fund.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Com mission authorizes an
appropriation in the amount of $158,700 to said Special Donations Account in accordance
with the Commission Memorandum attached hereto and made a part thereof.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of December, 1984.

SPECIAL REVENUE FUND
A proposed budget for a Special Donations Account has been submitted by the
Bass Museum Director. Its primary purpose is to provide funding for the staff
support, materials, and promotional activity necessary to bring one or more
major exhibits (such as the Precious Legacy) to the City of Miami Beach.
The appropriations for the Special Donations Account would be funded entirely
from that portion of fund balance surplus in the Bass Museum Special Revenue
Fund atrributable to the Precious Legacy exhibit. The proposed major categories
of expenditure are as follows:
Professional Services $ 38,000
Postage and Shipping 10,000
Printing 25,000
Advertising 10,000
Membership Dues 300
Promotions 42,000
Travel 5,000
Subscriptions and Books 1 ,000
Office Furniture/Equipment 16,000
Machinery/Equipment 6,900
Renovations 4 00
TOTAL $ 158,700
ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDATION:
The Administration recom mends that the City Com mission adopt the proposed
budget for the Special Donations Account, Bass Museum Special Revenue Fund,
in the amount of $158,700.
