A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 82-17068 ,
A RESOLUTION CREATING THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH
ENERGY BOARD, FOR THE PURPOSE OF PERMITTING
INDIVIDUALS RESIDING IN DADE COUNTY TO SERVE
AS MEMBERS OF THE ENERGY BOARD.
WHEREAS, on July 21, 1982, by Resolution No. 82-17068 ,
the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach, Florida created
the City of Miami Beach Energy Board; and
WHEREAS, Section 1, Establishment and Composition,
provided under subparagraph (e) that seven (7) citizens of Miami
Beach, one (1) appointed by the Mayor and one (1) appointed by
each Commissioner , comprise part of the twelve-member committee;
and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that limiting appointees
to residents of Miami Beach may hamper additional expertise and
public input to the Board,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH that Resolution No. 82-17068 be amended to
provide in Section 1 (e) that seven (7) citizens of Dade County,
one (1) appointed by the Mayor and one (1) appointed by each
Commissioner , comprise a part of the twelve member Energy Board.
