A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH , FLORIDA PROHIBITING THE
CONDUCTING OF CITY OF MIAMI BEACH BUSINESS AND
THE EXPENDITURE OF CITY OF MIAMI BEACH FUNDS IN
CONNECTION WITH ANY PRIVATE FACILITY WHICH DOES
NOT AFFORD FULL MEMBERSHIP RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES
OR USE OF THE FACILITIES TO ANY PERSON BECAUSE OF
RACE, COLOR, NATIONAL ORIGIN, ANCESTRY , SEX, AGE ,
MARITAL STATUS OR DISABILITY .
WHEREAS , it has always been the policy of the City of
Miami Beach to condemn discrimination on the basis of race ,
creed , color , national origin, ancestry , sex , age , marital
status or disability ; and
WHEREAS , it is the desire of the Mayor and City Com-
mission of the City of Miami Beach to extend the City of Miami
Beach' s anti-discrimination policy to private facilities which
do not allow use or full membership rights and privileges to any
person because of race , creed , color , national origin , ancestry ,
sex , age, marital status or disability by prohibiting the con-
ducting of City business or the expenditure of City funds in
connection with any meeting therein.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH:
That the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach
prohibits the conducting of City of Miami Beach business and
the expenditure of City of Miami Beach funds in connection with
any private facility which does not afford full membership rights
and privileges or use of the facilities to any person because of
race, creed, color , national origin, ancestry , sex , age , marital
status or disability.

1985
