RESOLUTION 85-17978 RESOLUTION NO: 85-17978 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, DESIGNATING 24 INCHES (2 FEET) OF SPACE ON THE TOP STEP OF THE FRONT ENTRANCE TO CITY HALL BETWEEN THE TWO CENTRE POSTS FOR THE PLACEMENT OF THE CLAUDE RENSHAW MONUMENT. (Front Entrance of City Hall denoting that entrance facing Convention Centre Drive) . WHEREAS, Claude Renshaw was Miami Beach ' s first City Manager, serving this City from 1924 to 1958 . WHEREAS, Claude Renshaw served with distinction, honor and a devotion far beyond the normal call of duty. WHEREAS , Claude Renshaw gave of himself and his leader- ship in a true and dedicated professional manner, for the full 34 years of his tenure. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, THAT: The 24 inches (2 feet) of space, between the two centre posts, on the top step of the front entrance to Miami Beach City Hall , be designated as "that space" allotted for the place- ment of the Claude Renshaw Memorial Monument.
