A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA AND
THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY AND DADE-MONROE
LUNG ASSOCIATION FOR PROMOTIONAL ACTIVITIES AT
BAYSHORE AND NORMANDY SHORES GOLF COURSES.
WHEREAS, the American Cancer Society has requested the
City of Miami Beach to join other municipalities in Dade County to
participate in a program which will raise funds for that Society;
and
WHEREAS, the Miami Beach Golf Courses will be able to
easily accommodate additional golfers during the summer months and
will familiarize Dade County residents with our fine golf courses;
and
WHEREAS, the City Commission is interested in aiding the
fundraising for the American Cancer Society,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH that the Mayor and City
Clerk are authorized to execute an Agreement between the City of
Miami Beach and the American Cancer Society and Dade-Monroe Lung
Association for Promotional Activities at Bayshore and Normandy
Shores Golf Courses.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 6th day of February, 1985.
