A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
WAIVE GREENS FEES FOR THE GREATER MIAMI WOMEN'S
GOLF ASSOCIATION TOURNAMENTS AT NORMANDY SHORES
AND BAYSHORE GOLF COURSES
WHEREAS, the Greater Miami Women's Golf Association Tournament
Committee is desirous of holding a golf tournament at Normandy Shores
Golf Course on May 28, 1985 and at Bayshore Golf. Course on September
24, 1985; and
WHEREAS, in conjunction with said tournaments, said Committee
has requested that the City waive greens fees for said events; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission deems it in the best interest of
the City to waive greens fees for said events:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City Mananer be and he is
authorized to waive greens fees for the Greater Miami Women' s Golf
Association Tournaments to be held on Tuesday, may 28, 1925 at
Normandy Shores Golf Course and ana i n on Tuesday, September 24, 1985
at Bayshore Golf Course.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 20th day of February ,1985.

SUBJECT: WAIVER OF GREENS FEES FOR GREATER MIAMI WOMEN'S GOLF
ASSOCIATION TOURNAMENTS.
Attached hereto are letters from the Greater Miami Women's Golf Association
requesting the privilege of holding two golf tournaments; one at Normandy
Shores Golf Course on Tuesday, May 28, 1985 and the other at Bayshore Golf
Course on Tuesday, September 24, 1985. They have requested that greens
fees be waived for both these events. Electric cart rentals, however,
will he mandatory.
These tournaments and waiver of fees have been approved in past years.
ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDATION:
There are approximately 60 to 100 women participating in each event. Most
of the participants are permit holders at our golf courses. Recommend
approval .

Dear Mr. Legakis:
This letter is to confirm our telephone conversation
regarding a play day for Greater Miami Women ' s Golf
Association.
I have scheduled Bayshore Country Club for Tuesday,
September 24, 1985.
As per our conversation, we shall tee off the first
and tenth tees between the hours of 8: 30 a.m. and 10: 00 a.m. ,
with all green fees waived. We will award certificates
redeemable in your pro shop to the winners of the day' s
tournament. Electric carts are mandatory for all players.
If these requests are agreeable to you, please sign
below and return one copy of this letter to me as soon as
possible. I have enclosed a stamped, addressed envelope
for your convenience.
We appreciate your consideration and kindness and look
forward to playing at the Bayshore Country Club.
