A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AN
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH AND THE
STATE OF FLORIDA, DEPARTMENT OF STATE, FOR
ACCEPTANCE OF $9,500 IN HISTORIC PRESERVATION GRANTS-
IN-AID FUNDS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE "MIAMI BEACH
HISTORIC PROPERTY DATA BASE" PROJECT.
BE IT ',RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH
FLORIDA, THAT,
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach has been awarded $9,500 in matching funds
from the Department of State to develop a "Miami Beach Historic Property Data Base"; and
WHEREAS, this data base will provide more complete and accurate information
on local historic properties, facilitating and encouraging the rehabilition of property;
WHEREAS, this data base will increase the capability of planning for growth and
preservation in Miami Beach;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby
authorized to execute the agreement between the City of Miami Beach and the State of
Florida, Department of State.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 6th day of March , 1985.
