A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH URGING METROBUS TO ADD
ADDITIONAL BUS STOPS TO ITS "R" BUS ROUTE
ALONG OCEAN DRIVE, MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of the City of
Miami Beach has been made aware of reluctance and fear on the part
of some of its residents to walk to bus service on Washington
Avenue and Fifth Street; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has received petitions from
residents requesting that the Commission urge Metrobus to
establish additional service in the Ocean Drive area, particularly
with hourly stops at First Street, at 315 Ocean Drive and at 465
Ocean Drive,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH that Metrobus is urged to add additional
bus stops to its "R" bus route, particularly with hourly stops at
First Street, at 315 Ocean Drive and at 465 Ocean Drive, Miami
Beach, Florida until 11: 00 p.m. (or until the R bus stops service
for the day) .
PASSED and ADOPTED this 20th day of March, 1985.
