TRAFFIC STAT~TlCS FOR THE 71st I NORMANDY DRIVE AREA
This Letter to Commission is to provide an update on the traffic situation in the congested
71st Street / Normandy Drive area. During the time period from January 1,2003 through
the end of June 2003, the STEP units (Selective Traffic Enforcement Program) wrote 218
moving violations, 21 warnings issued, and made 1 arrest. During the same time period, in
the rest of the North District, the STEP units also wrote 629 moving violations, 90 warnings
issued, 1 parking citation, and made 1 arrest. Please see attached for the specific
statistical information.
