A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH GRANTING RADIO STATION
WSHE PERMISSION TO HOLD A CONCERT AT NORTH
SHORE OPEN SPACE PARK (79TH STREET LOCATION)
ON MAY 25 , 1985 BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 11:00
A.M. AND 5 : 00 P.M. FEATURING THREE TOP LOCAL
ACTS PLUS ONE UP-AND-COMING NATIONAL ACT AS A
HEADLINER.
WHEREAS, Radio Station WSHE desires to hold a concert at
North Shore Open Space Park (79th Street location) on May 25, 1985
between the hours of 11: 00 a.m. and 5 : 00 p.m. featuring three top
local acts plus one up-and-coming national act as a headliner .
WHEREAS, WSHE has agreed to pay for all talent, all
related sound equipment, all necessary security (security
requirements to be determined by Miami Beach Police Department) ,
all additional Lifeguards, necessary medical assistance, all
portable restroom facilities, clean-up for the site, as well as
supplying a bond if so determined by the City and will provide all
required insurance coverage indemnifying the City.
WHEREAS , WSHE wants the City of Miami Beach to provide
and the City agrees to provide :
1. The name of the City as a co-sponsor , as evidence of its
support of the concert;
2 . Permits for the use of the beach and stage and related
facilities at 79th Street;
3 . A liaison with the Beach Boys, Inc. , the concessionaire
that currently has rights to sell products at the site;
4 . All necessary permits for co-sponsors to sell their
products at the event; and,
5 . Permits to use the five (5) ungraded northshore city-
owned parking lots with the parking charges to be
collected by WSHE and used to defray production costs.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that they grant permission to WSHE to hold a
concert at North Shore Open Space Park (79th Street location) on
May 25, 1985 between the hours of 11: 00 a.m. and 5 : 00 p.m. with
all stipulations as stated above.
