A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF LEASE
AMENDMENT WITH GREATER MIAMI HOST COMMITTEE
FOR USE OF THE SOUTH HALL OF THE MIAMI BEACH
CONVENTION CENTER ON MAY 11-18 , 1985 (AFTER
THE FACT) .
WHEREAS, the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH entered into a lease
agreement with
GREATER MIAMI HOST COMMITTEE
hereinafter referred to as LESSEE, said agreement having been
approved by the City Commission on
March 6 , 1985
for use of certain premises and facilities of the City of Miami
Beach, to-wit:
THE SOUTH HALL OF THE MIAMI BEACH CONVENTION CENTER
for the event known as:
COTAL
ON: May 11-17 , 1985 .
Lessee will not use the South Hall on May 16 and 18 ,
1985 in the manner specified in said contract; May 16
and 17 , 1985 will become move- out days and May 18 , 1985
will be eliminated; also, lessee will use the Meeting
Rooms in South Hall May 9 , 10 , 11, 16 , 17 , 15 , 1985.
WHEREAS, said LESSEE has requested an amendment to said
agreement as set forth in Commission Memorandum No. 359-85 , a
copy of which is included in the agenda for the meeting at which
this Resolution was adopted, and
WHEREAS, all other terms and conditions of the existing
agreement shall remain the same, and
WHEREAS, an appropriate Amendment to Agreement, signed
by the said LESSEE and approved as to form and legal sufficiency
by the City Attorney, is attached hereto and made part hereof, the
provisions of which are familiar to the City Commission;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Amendment to the
existing lease agreement as set forth in said Commission
Memorandum be and the same is hereby accepted and approved, and
the Mayor and City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and
directed to execute said Amendment to Agreement in the name of and
on behalf of the City.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 26th day of June, 1985.

also, lessee will use the Meeting Rooms in South Hall of the
Miami Beach Convention Center, May 9, 10 , 1 1 , 16 , 17, 1985
will be for use of the Meeting Rooms.
RATE: Cost for South Hall will be changed to 1+0 per square foot for
net exhibit space used with a minimum guarantee of $9 ,000.00;
and cost for the Meeting Rooms wi l l be $1 ,000.00 per day for
a total of $5,000.00.
