RESOLUTION 85-18116 RESOLUTION NO. 85-18116 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A LEGISLATIVE SERVICES AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH AND CRAMER, HABER & LUKIS, P.C. WHEREAS, the City Commission has been attempting to cause the 3. 4 acres within South Pointe scheduled for auction by the General Services Administration ("GSA") to be donated to the City; and WHEREAS, largely through the efforts of the Washington, D.C. law firm of Cramer , Haber & Lukis, P.C. ("Consultant") , the actual award of a bid for this auction was delayed 60 days; and WHEREAS, the City is desirous of retaining the Consultant for lobbying and consulting efforts on the City ' s behalf, including, without limitation, the award of UDAG and other federal grants, and the representation of the City before federal agencies situated in Washington, D.C. ; and WHEREAS, the City wishes to retain the Consultant for the retention of the services provided for in the attached legislative services agreement for the consideration of terms and conditions set forth therein, IOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF, MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that the Mayor and the City Clerk are authorized to execute the legislative services agreement between the City and Consultant, Cramer, Haber & Lukis, P.C.
