A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE
YEAR 10 FINAL STATEMENT OF OBJECTIVES AND
PROJECTED USE OF FUNDS TO ALLOW FOR THE
INCLUSION OF A NEW ACTIVITY ENTITLED, "MUSEUM
SQUARE REVITALIZATION PROGRAM" @ $30,000 AND
AMENDING THE MIAMI BEACH DEVELOPMENT
CORPORATION (MBDC) YEAR 10 CONTRACT TO
INCLUDE THIS COMPONENT.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA:
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach adopted via Resolution
No. 84-17790, the Year 10 CDBG Final Statement of Objectives and
Projected Use of Funds; and
WHEREAS, the City has received funds from the U.S.
Department of Housing and Urban Development for the implementation of
the Year 10 CDBG Program; and
WHEREAS, the Community Development Advisory Committee
at their meeting of April 23, 1985 recommended providing $30,000 of Year
10 funds to the Bass Museum with such funds to come from Year 10 Local
Option; and
WHEREAS, the Miami Beach Development Corporation has
voted to endorse amending their Year 10 Economic Development Contract
to include this program as a component in their overall Economic
Development Program; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was duly advertised and held by the
City Commission on July 10 to allow the citizenry to comment on this
proposed activity; and
WHEREAS, the Bass Museum, through the Miami Beach
Development Corporation, will design and submit a program compatible
with the funding category.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City
Commission hereby approves an amendment to the Year 10 Final
Statement of Objectives and Projected Use of Funds to include a new
activity in the amount of $30,000 for the Bass Museum, under the auspices
of the Miami Beach Development Corporation, and further authorizes an
amendment to MBDC's contract to allow for such program.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 10 DAY OF July 1985.
