Accreditation Team.
The May 14, 2002 report by the Parks & Recreation Programs Blue Ribbon Citizens'
Committee recommended that "The City should allocate sufficient resources to
successfully complete the (National Recreation & Parks Association, NRPA) accreditation
process." The Parks & Recreation Department staff has completed and submitted
accreditation materials required by NRPA. On August 6-10, 2003, a three-member NRPA
Commission for Accreditation team will visit our City to review the department.
The Parks & Recreation Department cordially invites you to attend a welcome reception in
honor of the NRPA Commission for Accreditation team visit Wednesday, August 6, 2003, at
Monty's Restaurant, 300 Alton Road, Miami Beach, Florida, from 7:00-9:00 P.M.
