A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA AUTHORIZING THE
DONATION OF A SURPLUS ORCHESTRA SHELL FROM
THE THEATRE OF THE PERFORMING ARTS TO THE
CITY OF NORTH MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA:
WHEREAS , the City of Miami Beach had purchased an orchestra
shell in 1975 for use in the Theatre of the Performing Arts and
such shell is now deemed surplus property; and
WHEREAS , attempts to sell the orchestra shell was
unsuccessful; and
WHEREAS , the City of North Miami Beach requested that
the City of Miami Beach donate the surplus orchestra shell to
that municipality; and
WHEREAS , the administration of the City of Miami Beach
believes that the donation of the surplus theatre orchestra shell
to the City of North Miami Beach is in the best interest of the
two cities;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH FLORIDA that the orchestra shell deemed
surplus by the City shall be donated to the City
of North Miami Beach, Florida and that the City Manager of the
City of Miami Beach is authorized to transfer title of same to
the City of North Miami Beach, Florida and further that the
removal of the orchestra shell shall be at no expense to the City
of Miami Beach.
