RESOLUTION 85-18151 RESOLULTION NO. 85-18151
A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE METROPOLITAN DADE COUNTY
ELECTIONS DEPARTMENT TO RELOCATE TWO PRECINCT LOCATIONS;
NAMELY, PRECINCT 481 (47 60 Pine Tree Drive) ; PRECINCT 613
(Bancroft Hotel, 1501 Collins Avenue) .
WHEREAS, the members of the Miami Beach City Commission have received
communications from residents of various condominiums on Collins Avenue as to
their inability because of lack of transportation, to get to the polling
place for Precinct No. 481 located at St. Johns-on-the-Lake, 4760 Pine Tree
Drive, Precinct No. 481 and have requested that it be relocated to a building
on Collins Avenue within their precinct, or to the Fire Station at 5303
Collins Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the members of the City Commission have received requests from
residents in the area to move the polling place of Precinct No. 613 (Bancroft
Hotel, 1501 Collins Avenue) to One Hundred Lincoln Road Apartment building as
an accomodation to residents in said precinct;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA THAT the Metropolitan Dade County Elections Division be
requested to relocate the aforesaid polling places for the respective
precincts so that same will be available for the November 5, 1985, General
Election in the City of Miami Beach;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Metropolitan Dade County Elections
Department advise the City Clerk of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, in an
expeditious manner as to the results of their action on the requested
changes.
