A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN
AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF
FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION FOR THE CITY'S
MAINTENANCE OF THE PROPOSED
New 73 Street Bridge Over Tatum
Waterway to Park View Island.
WHEREAS, the existing 73 Street Bridge Over Tatum Waterway to Park
View Island does not meet the present day requirements for such a structure; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Transportation of the State of Florida, has
agreed, using Federal aid, to replace the bridge; and
WHEREAS, as a necessary part of such project, the City must agree to
assume responsiblities for the maintenance of the proposed new structure, on its
completion;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA:
The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute an
agreement with the State of Florida Department of Transportation agreeing to
assume the maintenance responsiblities for the bridge on its completion.
