A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND
THE CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AGREEMENT FOR
COMPLETION BY SURETY OF CONTRACT BETWEEN
INDEMNITY INSURANCE COMPANY OF NORTH AMERICA
AND THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH
WHEREAS, on. October 18 , 1983 , the City of Miami Beach
entered into an agreement with Southern Construction International
Development for construction of a steel golf-cart storage building
at the Bayshore Golf Course; and
WHEREAS, the contractor defaulted in the performance of
the contract and the City of Miami Beach made demand under the
performance bond issued by Indemnity Insurance Company of North
America ; and
WHEREAS, Indemnity has advised that it will complete the
contract work and has prepared an Agreement for Completion by
Surety of Contract; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that it is in the mutual
best interest of the parties to enter into this Agreement, the
City Manager has recommended its execution and the City Attorney
has approved it as to form,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH that the Mayor and the City Clerk are
hereby authorized to execute the Agreement for Completion by
Surety of Contract Between Indemnity Insurance Company of North
America and the City of Miami Beach.
