A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE USE OF THE BALANCE
AVAILABLE IN THE SPECIAL GOLF REVENUE FUND TO
PROVIDE FOR ADDITIONAL MONIES IN THE GENERAL
FUND TO COVER GENERAL OPERATING EXPENSES FOR
THE PURPOSE OF FUNDING NEGOTIATED WAGE
INCREASES DURING FY 1985/86.
WHEREAS, on June 2, 1982, the City Commission ratified Commission
Memorandum 369-82, which authorized the creation of a Special Golf Revenue Fund to
accumulate monies collected from cart rentals, lockers, and other sources previously
managed by the Golf Course Concessionnaire; and
WHEREAS, the Commission must render approval to dispose or transfer
any available funds within the Special Golf Revenue Fund; and
WHEREAS, the Fund has been analyzed and it has been determined
$120,493 is remaining, unencumbered within the Special Golf Revenue Fund Balance
and that no additional transactions are anticipated; and
WHEREAS, the availability of these funds would be used for the purpose of
providing for the negotiated wage increases during FY 1985/86.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION,
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Administration be authorized to
transfer the remaining fund balance of $120,493 in the Golf Revenue Fund into the
General Fund, to provide additional revenues for the purpose of providing for
negotiated wage increases during FY 1985/86.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 11th day of September, 1985.
