A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE USE OF THE
UNENCUMBERED BALANCE IN THE EXCISE TAX DEBT
SERVICE FUND TO BE MADE AVAILABLE FOR USE FOR THE
PURPOSE OF FUNDING NEGOTIATED WAGE INCREASES
DURING FY 1985/86 IN THE GENERAL FUND.
WHEREAS, the City Commission has directed the Administration to review
the special funds to determine the availability of funds; and
WHEREAS, $2,112,283 in excess of the required amount in the Excise Tax
Debt Service Fund Balance has been verified; and
WHEREAS, an over reserve for the purpose of assuring sufficient funding
for the Convention Center Expansion Project has been previously determined; and
WHEREAS, the uses of these funds could be for the purpose of funding the
negotiated wage increases during FY 1985/86.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Administration be directed to
use the available $2,112,283, currently over-reserved in the Excise Tax Debt Service
Fund, for the purpose of funding the negotiated wage increases during FY 1985/86.
