RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA WAIVING COMPETITIVE
BID REQUIREMENTS AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE CONTRACT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
WITH MARIE CANAVES AS CURATORIAL ASSISTANT AT
THE BASS MUSEUM.
WHEREAS, on July 2 , 1985 , pursuant to Commission
Memorandum 410-85 , the City Commission approved appropriation of
grant funds from the Institute of Museum Services for use by the
Bass Museum; and
WHEREAS, the Bass Museum has had the opportunity to
engage Marie Canaves as a curatorial assistant; and
WHEREAS, a Professional Services and Special Events
agreement has been prepared, the City Manager has recommended its
execution and the City Attorney has approved it as to form,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH that competitive bid requirements are
waived and the Mayor is authorized to execute an agreement for
Professional Services between the City of Miami Beach and Marie
Canaves as a curatorial assistant at the Bass Museum.
