A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AWARDING THE PROFESSIONAL
APPRAISAL ASSIGNMENT TO EUGENE A. SHAW, M.A.I.
APPRAISER, OF SHAW Sc SHAW, INC., CONSULTANTS ON REAL
ESTATE, FOR THE PROPERTIES NEEDED FOR THE WIDENING OF
WASHINGTON AVENUE FROM BISCAYNE STREET TO FIRST
STREET/HN-426.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA;
WHEREAS, in accordance with the request of the Public Works Director to the
City Attorney, a proposal for professional appraisal services has been solicited and received
from Eugene A. Shaw, M.A.I. Appraiser, of Shaw & Shaw, Inc., Consultants on Real Estate,
in anticipation of condemnation for the following project:
1. The widening of Washington Avenue from Biscayne Street to First Street
from a right-of-way width of 60 feet to 100 feet.
WHEREAS, the City Attorney has reviewed the proposal for professional
appraisal services from Eugene A. Shaw, M.A.I. Appraiser, of Shaw & Shaw, Inc.,
Consultants on Real Estate; and
WHEREAS, appraiser Shaw's fee for professional services will be twenty
thousand dollars ($20,000), said services to be completed on or before December 20, 1985;
and
WHEREAS, the funding for this appraisal assignment is to be taken from the $9.8
million infrastructure bond issue.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that Shaw & Shaw, Inc., Consultants on Real Estate, be
awarded the professional appraisal assignment for the properties needed for the widening of
Washington Avenue from Biscayne Street to First Street/HN-426.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 2nd day of October 1985.
