RESOLUTION 85-18227 RESOLUTION NO. 85-18227 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING A POLICY WITH REGARDS TO THE REVIEW OF THE COLLECTION OF RESORT TAX AND THE SUBSEQUENT ALLOCATION OF ANY ADDITIONAL FUNDS TO THE SPECIAL EVENTS COMMITTEE WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, desires to establish a policy whereby resort tax collections are reviewed during the month of January, 1986, as to compare between budgeted collections and actual collections; and WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, desires to allocate any favorable variances for the purpose of increasing the Special Events Committee budget; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that a review of resort tax collections comparing actual collections with budgeted collection will be conducted for the quarter ending December 31, 1985 in January, 1986; AND FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED, that if the results of said comparison conclude that actual collections for the FY 1985-86 will exceed the budgeted collections for the same period, said surplus will be allocated to the Special Events Committee budget for purposes of funding special events on Miami Beach.
