RESOLUTION 85-18290 RESOLUTION NO.85-18290 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING EXTENSION OF AGREEMENT WITH DR. LEO GROSSMAN FOR THE PERFORMANCE OF DUTIES AS CONSULTANT AND COORDINATOR TO THE CITY'S PROGRAM PROVIDING FOR EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES BY THE FIRE RESCUE DIVISION FOR AN ADDITIONAL PERIOD OF TWO (2) YEARS EXPIRING SEPTEMBER 30, 1990, WITH COMPENSATION TO BE INCREASED FROM $10,000 PER ANNUM TO $20,000 EFFECTIVE DECEMBER 1, 1985. WHEREAS, the existing agreement between the City of Miami Beach and Dr. Leo Grossman for the performance of the duties of Consultant and Coordinator to the City's program providing for emergency medical services by the Fire Rescue Division as set forth therein expires on September 30, 1988, and; WHEREAS, the City and said Physician mutually desire to extend said agreement for an additional period of two (2) years ending on September 30, 1990 with the rate and manner of compensation of $10,000 per annum to be increased to $20,000 effective December 1, 1985, and; WHEREAS, an amendment to said agreement has been approved accordingly by the City Attorney, and the City Commission being familiar with the terms thereof, and; WHEREAS, the City Commission finds that it is in the best interest of the City and its citizens that said amendatory agreement be entered into: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and the City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute said amendatory agreement and the finance officers of the City be and they are hereby authorized and directed to make the payments thereby required.
