RESOLUTION 87-18760 (2) RESOLUTION NO. 87-18760 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH MOTOROLA, INC., FOR THE TURN KEY INSTALLATION OF A CITY-WIDE 800 MHz TRUNKED RF COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM WITH FUNDS TO BE APPROPRIATED FROM BOND FUND 359 INTO A WORK ORDER. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION. OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA: WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach issued a request for proposals identified as RFP No. 33-85/90 for the purpose of receiving bids on certain communications goods and services; and WHEREAS, the City Commission authorized the City Manager to negotiate an agreement with Motorola, Inc., for RF communications service City-wide; and WHEREAS, Motorola, Inc., now desires to furnish to the City of Miami Beach certain goods and services pursuant to the specific description set out in Section 5 of RFP No. 33-85/90 and based upon its overall proposal; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and the City Attorney, through their staffs, have negotiated an agreement pursuant to Motorola, Inc.'s, response to RFP No. 33-85/90; and WHEREAS, the funding for this project is to be appropriated from Bond Fund No. 359 in the amount of $6.7 million, to a Work Order to be established for this purpose. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute an agreement with Motorola, Inc., and $6.7 million is hereby appropriated from Bond Fund No. 359 to a newly-established Work Order.
