A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND
CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AGREEMENTS WITH TOWER 41
ASSOCIATION, INC., AND PARKVIEW POINT CONDOMINIUM
ASSOCIATION, INC., FOR THE LEASE OF FACILITIES TO
HOUSE COMMUNICATIONS EQUIPMENT FOR THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA:
WHEREAS, communications equipment has been installed at Tower 41 -- 4101
Pine Tree Drive, and Parkview Point Condominium -- 7441 Wayne Avenue, and has been
located at these facilities for many years with no formal agreement; and
WHEREAS, the City Administration feels that due to the $6.5 million installation
of a new 800 MHz trunked RF system, a formal lease agreement was necessary; and
WHEREAS, due to its central location, Tower 41 will be the City of Miami
Beach's backup transmitter site. The Parkview Point building, located at 7441 Wayne
Avenue, provides coverage for the north end of Miami Beach.
WHEREAS, leases are attached for the term of one year with options to renew.
WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended their execution, and the City
Attorney has approved them as to form.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby
authorized and directed to execute agreements with Tower 41 Association, Inc., and
Parkview Point Condominium Association, Inc., for the lease of its facilities to house City
of Miami Beach communications equipment.
