A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH COMMAND DATA SYSTEMS
FOR PROVIDING A TURNKEY COMPUTER AIDED DISPATCH
AND RECORDS MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR THE
DEPARTMENTS OF POLICE AND FIRE AND TO
APPROPRIATE ONE MILLION DOLLARS FROM BOND
FUND 359 TO AN APPROPRIATE WORK ORDER
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA:
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach issued a request for proposals identified as
RFP No. 33-85/90 for the purpose of receiving bids on certain communicationsg oods and
services; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission authorized the City Manager to negotiate an
agreement with Command Data Systems for providingg
Y a turnkey Computer Aided Dispatch
and Records Management System; and
WHEREAS, Command Data Systems now desires to furnish to the City of Miami
Beach certain goods and services pursuant to the specific description set out in Sections 6
and 7 of RFP No. 33-85/90 andp
/ based upon its overall proposal; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager and the City Attorney, throughh their staffs,s, have
negotiated an agreement pursuant to Command Data Systems'
response to RFP
No. 33-85/90; and
WHEREAS, the funding for this project is to be appropriated from Bond Fund
No. 359 in the amount of $1 million, allocated $840,000 for theurchase of the equipment

and services set forth in the Agreement, and $160,000 for contingencies, to a Work Order to
be established for this purpose.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and CityClerk

authorized and directed to execute an agreement with Command Data Systems and
