A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH AND L. GARRY SMITH AND
ASSOCIATES, INC., AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach has recognized the need for and requires the
provision of lobbying services on behalf of the City at all Florida State Legislature Sessions
held during the term of the agreement and before any committees of the State Legislature
and/or to oppose legislation to which the client objects, and to perform such other
legislative services at their sessions that the City Manager or his designated representative
shall direct in order that the citizens of Miami Beach might be properly represented; and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach desires to retain and L. Garry Smith and
Associates, Inc., wishes to accept such representation of the City of Miami Beach before the
State Legislature, Florida Cabinet and the various State agencies.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that:
Section 1. The City of Miami Beach Commission approves the attached agreement
between the City of Miami Beach and L. Garry Smith and Associates, Inc., for the purpose
of providing lobbying services.
Section 2. The City of Miami Beach authorizes the Mayor, in his absences the Vice-Mayor,
to execute the agreement of behalf of the City.
