A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, RECOGNIZING CITY
LAWS PROHIBITING THE PLACEMENT OF GRAFFITI ON
PUBLIC AND PRIVATE PROPERTY AND PLEDGING TO
VIGOROUSLY PROSECUTE VIOLATORS THEREOF.
WHEREAS, Sections 25-28.1 through 25. 28. 3 inclusive of
the Miami Beach City Code contains prohibitions against placement
of graffiti on public or private property, with penalties for
violations thereof; and
WHEREAS , it has come to the attention of the City
Commission that numerous violations of said City Code sections
have recently occurred, with particular violations in the form of
swastikas and obscene language occurring on the City of Miami
Beach Boardwalk; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the aforestated authority of the
City of Miami Beach, such reprehensible actions will not be
tolerated and violators will be prosecuted to the fullest extent
of the law.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that it recognizes
and reaffirms those proscriptions concerning the unlawful placing
of graffiti on public and private property stated within City of
Miami Beach City Code Sections 25-28 .1 through 25-28 . 3 inclusive,
and further pledges to vigorously prosecute individuals violating
these regulations to the fullest extent of the law.
