A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND
THE CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A gIRST AMENDMENT
TO THE LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH AND THE MIAMI BEACH DEVELOPMENT
CORPOATION FOR THE COLONY THEATER.
WHEREAS, the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH ( "City" ) on February 28,
1983 entered into a Lease Agreement ( "Lease Agreement" ) with the
Miami Beach Development Corporation ( "Lessee" ) for the Colony
Theater , located at 1040 Lincoln Road Mall, Miami Beach, Florida;
and
WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the lease to expand the
use of the premises to include the sale of alcoholic beverages
and food at the Colony Theater for its patrons only; and
WHEREAS, the City and Lessee wish to make other changes to
the Lease Agreement; and
WHEREAS , an appropriate Amendment to the Lease Agreement
has been negotiated, the City Manager has recommended i t s
execution and the City Attorney has approved it as to form,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH that the Mayor and the City Clerk are
hereby authorized to execute the First Amendment to the Lease
Agreement between the City of Miami Beach and the Miami Beach
Development Corporation to provide for changes allowing for the
sale of alcoholic beverages and food at the Colony Theater for
its patrons only, and other changes. (Requirement for liquor liability
Insurance) .
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of July 1987 .
