A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND
THE CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE THE FOLLOWING
AGREEMENTS RELATING TO THE INSTALLATION AND
MAINTENANCE OF A HOLOCAUST MONUMENT ON THE
SOUTHEAST CORNER OF DADE BOULEVARD AND
MERIDIAN AVENUE: ( 1 ) AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH AND THE HOLOCAUST
MEMORIAL COMMITTEE, INC. , AND (2) AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE HOLOCAUST MEMORIAL COMMITTEE,
INC. AND BARNETT BANKS TRUST COMPANY, N.A.
WHEREAS, the City Commission has reviewed the following
Agreements relating to the installation and maintenance of a
Holocaust Monument on the southeast corner of Dade Boulevard and
Meridian Avenue: ( 1 ) Agreement between the City of Miami Beach
and the Holocaust Memorial Committee , Inc . and ( 2 ) Agreement
between the Holocaust Memorial Committee, Inc. , and Barnett Banks
Trust Company, N.A. ( in which the City joins ) ; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended the execution of
the Agreements and the City Attorney has approved them as to
form;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH that the Mayor and the City Clerk a r e
authorized to execute the following Agreements for the
installation and maintenance of the Holocaust Monument : ( 1 )
Agreement between the City of Miami Beach and the Holocaust
Memorial Committee, Inc. , and ( 2 ) Agreement between the Holocaust
Memorial Committee, Inc. and Barnett Banks Trust Company, N.A.
( in which the City joins ) .
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of July, 1987 .
