A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR A POLICY THAT CITY BANKING
ACCOUNTS BE ESTABLISHED IN THOSE BANKS WITHIN THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH THAT PROVIDE FINANCING TO DEVELOPERS FOR
PROJECTS LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida recognizes that developers are currently experiencing
difficulty in obtaining financing for construction projects located
within the City of Miami Beach; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission believes that it is necessary and
beneficial to the welfare of the citizens of the City of Miami
Beach to encourage banks to provide financing for projects within
the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission believes that it can provide
incentive for such banks to finance projects located within the
City by establishing a policy whereby City banking accounts are
established in those banks that provide financing to developers for
projects located within the City of Miami Beach.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City Commission hereby
provides for a policy that City banking accounts be established in
those banks within the City of Miami Beach that provide financing
to developers for projects located within the City of Miami Beach.
