A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MI AMI BEACH, FLORIDA,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND THE CITY CLERK
TO EXECUTE A LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE
CITY OF MI AMI BEACH AND JEWI SH
VOCATIONAL SERVICES FOR THE PURPOSE OF
THE CITY LEASING ONE ( 1) 35MM MICROFILM
CAMERA TO THE JEWISH VOCATIONAL SERVICE
WHEREAS, the City is the owner of one ( 1 ) 35MM microfilm
camera;
and
WHEREAS, Jewish Vocational Service, a qualified non-profit
organization approved by the Commission on Accreditation of
Rehabilitative Services ( the "Commission" ) , made an application to
lease such property from the City for the purpose of training and
rehabilitating the handicapped to prepare them for meaningful
employment in order to become self-supporting, which lease and
purpose would be a benefit to and in the best interest of the
City ;
and
WHEREAS, the Commission has designated the Jewish Vocational
Service a primary source for microfilm products ;
and
WHEREAS, the City can assist the Jewish Vocational Service
to expand its microfilm program with the use of the above
described property , which assistance would be beneficial to the
City, clients of Jewish Vocational Service, handicapped
individuals and the general community ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH that the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby
authorized to execute the Lease Agreement between the City and
Jewish Vocational Services leasing one 35MM microfilm camera to
the Jewish Vocational Service .
